Program Description

Tuition, room and board, and festival fees for two invited students attending the Mountain Light Music

Festival Trombone Summit, July 26–August 1, Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Activities include private study,

master classes, rehearsals, and performances at the Liberty Theatre and Mountain Light Lodge. Faculty

include Steve Wilson (UTEP), John Whitaker (University of Illinois), Brent

Through chamber music, orchestral performance, and collaborative creativity, participants explore their truest musical identity while learning from mentors who value curiosity, authenticity, and expressive depth. At Mountain Light Music Festival, we believe the mountains help reveal who we are as artists—and who we can become.​

We are proud to make Pagosa Springs our home, where our stage is a meadow, and the backdrop is the San Juan Mountains.
