Chelsey has lived in Sugar Land, Texas for the past ten years. In high school marching band, she served as the low brass section leader, went to the state marching competition twice, and was awarded the John Philip Sousa Award her senior year. In addition to band, Chelsey was a member of her school's full orchestra that was given the privilege of traveling to Chicago to perform at the Midwest Clinic in 2018. She was also a full time member of her church’s orchestra and was a two time featured soloist with them.
At Baylor, Chelsey plays in the Symphonic Band, Trombone Choir, various chamber ensembles, and Concert Jazz. She has been a member of the orchestra at Columbus Avenue Baptist Church since the fall of 2019 and has served as their music ministry intern since the fall of 2020. After her undergraduate, Chelsey hopes to go into orchestra management or win a job in an orchestra.
In her free time, Chelsey enjoys crocheting, reading, and baking with her friends and family.
