Jeff Sharoff is a trombonist from New Jersey. He is a recent Rutgers University graduate where he studied at the Mason Gross School of the Arts. He received his B.M in Music with concentrations in both Performance and Education. During his time at Rutgers, he studied with the Met Opera Trombonist, Weston Sprott, and played with a wide range of music ensembles including big bands, brass quintets, orchestras and wind ensembles. During summers in undergrad, Jeff continued his studies at The Cleveland Trombone Seminar where he had the opportunity to work closely with several world-class musicians.

Jeff is a regular performer with ensembles such as the Montclair Orchestra, the Eastern Wind Symphony, and Sinfonietta Nova. He’s currently attending Cleveland State University where he studies with Shachar Israel of the Cleveland Orchestra. In the future, he hopes to have a career performing with a professional ensemble and teaching at a collegiate level. Jeff is honored to be joining the Mountain Light Music Festival this summer and is very much looking forward to working with the esteemed faculty and enjoying the great outdoors.
